Stephanie: Welcome to Glory and Grit, a space where faith meets real life, where we talk honestly about the waiting, the wrestling, the rebuilding, and the unexpected ways God shows up in it all.
Stephanie: I'm your host Stephanie and this podcast exists for anyone who's trying to hold on to faith when life doesn't go as planned.
Stephanie: I want to start off by saying this. I'm really glad you're here. This podcast was created for the moments when faith feels real, but life feels heavy. When you're trusting God, even as things don't go the way you expected. This is a place where we don't pretend things are easy, but we also don't give up on God.
Stephanie: When I say glory, I'm talking about God's presence, his faithfulness, and his ability to redeem even the hardest parts of our stories. And when I say grit, I'm talking about perseverance, obedience when it's uncomfortable, and when choosing faith.
Stephanie: when it would be easier to walk away. God's glory is often revealed through our grit, not apart from it.
Stephanie: This podcast is for you. If you're in a waiting season, if you're rebuilding after loss or disappointment, if you're wrestling with God or quietly wondering if you heard him wrong, you don't have to have it all figured out to be here. You just have to be willing to show up honestly.
Stephanie: Throughout this season, we're going to have real conversations. We'll hear testimonies of perseverance, forgiveness, and faith that didn't come easy. We'll talk about purpose after pain, faith when plans fall apart, and the unexpected ways God shows up, often right in the middle of the mess. Some weeks that looks like a conversation.
Stephanie: Other weeks it looks more like a quiet reflection. Some episodes may feel heavier, others may feel lighter. You're free to listen at your own pace and take what you need.
Stephanie: The first season is called Finding God When Life Doesn't Go As Planned. God doesn't keep us from the hard seasons, and sometimes we're trying to figure out what faith looks like after that. This isn't about having it all together. It's about showing up, holding on, and believing that faith can still come through.
Stephanie: If you're listening right now and thinking, hmm, this feels familiar. I want you to know you belong here. You don't have to listen perfectly. You don't have to have it all figured out. You're welcome to come as you are and walk this season alongside me.
Stephanie: If there's one thing I hope you take with you today, it's this. You're not alone in your faith journey. Faith can exist alongside disappointment. This podcast is a safe, grace-filled space, and God is still at work.
Stephanie: even when life feels off course. One quick thing before we close. For those of you who like to reflect or journal as you listen, I've made a couple of simple guides available on the website.
Stephanie: This is a general companion for the overall season. It's helpful for note taking, scripture reflection, and following along week to week. Then there's the episode reflection guide. It's a more focused episode specific page with prompts tied directly to each episode's theme. It's ideal for immediately after listening to each episode.
Stephanie: You can find these guides on my website, gloryandgritpodcast.com with the word and. Also, there are no spaces. The guides will be there along with show notes and transcripts.
Stephanie: They're there for you if and when they're helpful. They're just a resource if you want to sit with the conversation a little longer. No pressure at all.
Stephanie: Thank you for being here today. I'm really grateful you chose to spend this time with me.
Stephanie: If your faith feels heavy right now, you're not behind, you're becoming. I invite you to walk through this season with me. Listen with an open heart, give yourself some grace. I'm your host Stephanie and remember, glory doesn't come without grit.
